In addition, the villa offers 2 separate breakout rooms (for 4–6 people each)
Facilities also include 3 WCs, 3 separate saunas, an outdoor hot tub, a spacious terrace, and a cozy firepit area

The 2+ hectare estate also provides space for a variety of other activities
At the heart of the estate stands the protected Åström Villa, built in the 1870s–1880s. This historical gem and its charming courtyard can be rented for intimate events and exhibitions, offering an atmosphere that simply cannot be recreated.
The Story of Hietasaari and the Åström Villa
Hietasaari has been a place of leisure and retreat for the people of Oulu since the 19th century. After the Crimean War (1854), dozens of villas were built in the area, where summer days were spent socializing, celebrating, and enjoying life. Midsummer festivities and late-summer crayfish parties were the highlights of the villa season. The Åström Villa was especially renowned for its cultural life. Karl Robert Åström built the villa on the shores of Mustasalmi, with its curved-gable extension creating an intimate space for musical evenings. Later, during the time of his son Hemming Emmanuel Åström, the villa served as a summer home where, among others, singer Aino Ackté’s mother, Emmy Ackté, performed in small concerts for a select audience.
